What is invoicing software?

An invoicing program is a tool that allows the management of all commercial activities of a company, regardless of its size. This type of software provides functionalities to create and issue various documents essential to a business's financial management, specifically documents such as invoices, receipts, and goods transport documentation. Additionally, it offers capabilities to control and manage product inventory, handle multiple storage locations, maintain an up-to-date customer database, and monitor all commercial transactions, both in terms of acquisitions and sales.

How can I start using it?

Just register on the iGEST portal and access credentials for the Invoicing Program will be provided. We also offer a 30-day free trial period, with no commitment, so you can get familiar with how iGEST works.

What should I do in case of doubt or problem?

Contact our support line, available on business days from 09:00 to 19:00 via phone at 707 451 451 or by email at apoio@igest.pt. We also provide real-time technical assistance through remote access to your equipment using the TeamViewer program.

Is my data safe with the iGEST Invoicing Program?

iGEST is an invoicing software certified under ISO 9001 Quality Standards and ISO 27001 Information Security Standards, ensuring internal procedure monitoring, data security, and confidentiality.

Can I import my data from the previous program?

Yes. You can import clients, suppliers, items, and orders from other platforms.

Who is it for?

All individuals or entities that are considered taxpayers by tax authorities, whether taxed under Personal Income Tax (IRS) or Corporate Income Tax (IRC). The iGEST system was designed and developed to meet the specific needs of all types of taxpayers and business activities, with no limitations regarding the size of the organization or the technical knowledge level of its users.

Can I link multiple branches for one company?

Yes, you can associate several issuing locations or branches to your entity.

Are user permissions customizable?

Yes. When creating a user, you can customize and restrict permissions by branch, invoice series, or document type.

Is it mandatory to use invoicing software?

On January 1, 2014, the certification conditions for invoicing programs were changed. It became mandatory to use invoicing software for users of internally developed software and for taxable persons with an annual turnover exceeding €100,000. For turnover under €50,000, you may still use certified invoicing software to ensure compliance with exceptional obligations.

What happens if I don't have certified software?

Your company may face fines ranging from €1,500 to €18,750 if you do not use certified invoicing software, according to Law No. 75-A/2014.
